The Death of Wolverine comic books have taken the industry by storm recently becoming the top selling comic books for dealers around the country. Numerous variant and sketch cover art exists and the purpose of this article is to give you an idea what each variation is worth. I will update this article every few months with the most recent pricing.

Q2 2016 Update: When this issue first released, CGC 9.8 copies were selling in the $50 – $75 range. As more & more copies were submitted and the market was saturated a bit, copies now sell in the range posted above. Typcially when it’s a new release, wait a while before paying a premium for a CGC 9.8 since there will be lots of them on the market as more people get a chance to grade it.

High grade copies of this book are difficult to find. The CGC 9.8 price is closer to when this book was released. The ungraded market softened a little on the high-end, but the minimum price was still a healthy $250 each.

When this comic book was first on the market, CGC 9.8 copies were selling in the $350 – $625 range. The market has softened since release and we’ve reflected that in the values above. Additionally, ungraded copies were selling in the $150 – $400 range during the release window. Those values have cooled off a bit too.

Ungraded copies of the Color cover produced by Joe Quesada have dropped in price since release. Early on, ungraded issues would sell between $50 – $185. Now about $115 is towards the top of the mark in terms of value, but these more regularly sell in the $60 range.
